We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation with charitable status that is committed to ensuring Peterborough is a better place to live and work. To achieve this, we need grow our income, both from our existing activities and also from new commercial ventures, so we can do more, and this is where you come in as our Commercial Director.
We have recently embarked on establishing a ‘new’ Vivacity, improving what we are good at, but we do not want to stop there as we look to expand our offering by growing our existing markets and into new markets along with developing new products and services. We have re-set the organisation as a strategic partner in the wider ambitions of the city. The Commercial Director is a key role and will be part of our new Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will provide us with strong leadership experience and commercial capability at senior management level. Maximising opportunities within our current portfolio, developing new business opportunities and growing our commercial offering that expand our reach are key to the role.
We are looking for individuals who have significant commercial experience within a high competition, service delivery and outlet orientated environment, a knowledge of culture, sport or healthy living commercial activities may be helpful. Through sales and business development, the ideal candidate will have a strong track record of growing income and working with a diverse set of stakeholders to achieve organisational goals. Clear direction and leadership are integral to our success, along with your ability to create, mould and develop a highly motivated team that supports our growth agenda and helps us deliver our vision. Just as importantly, will be your ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of audiences to achieve desired results.
