Cheshire East Partnership Board, one of Nine ‘Places’ across Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership, was established in February 2018 and includes board level representation from health commissioners and providers, Cheshire East Council and HealthWatch. The Partnership is committed to a five year ‘whole system’ transformation blueprint to reshape the delivery of care for our population. We are beginning to see a shift in the current system, from fragmentation to integration, from reactive to proactive.

We seek an inspirational leader to continue the work of our retiring Chair, as we enter a new phase of development, fulfilling our aspiration to become an Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) in a highly collaborative although financially challenged health and care economy.  As Independent Chair and working closely with partners over the next c18 months, supported by a small executive team, the ICP will use resources and bring services together in new ways to encourage self-care, prevent illness and provide the right care at the right time and in the right place as seamlessly as possible. On this journey, our Chair will harness enthusiasm and build on commitment to create a culture which is challenging yet engaged, supportive and focused on continuous improvement.

A dynamic individual with high levels of political acumen, you will ensure collaboration continues with adherence to our collectively agreed principles.  Working within the current legislative and regulatory context to reflect the accountability of partners, you will develop, maintain and sustain relationships with all stakeholders.  Experience of living or working in the area is not a requirement however you will bring insight into the current issues impacting on the delivery of high quality services and quickly build credibility with partners across the Cheshire East Place.  This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned leader to steer the transformation of care services, adding to the economic vitality of our ‘Place’. If you have experience of delivering strategic influence at a system level in a complex environment and success in care that transcends artificial organisational boundaries, we would love to hear from you.
