CIPFA
The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) is the world’s only professional accountancy body to specialise in public services, and our portfolio of qualifications is the foundation for a career in public finance.
Our members work across public services in national audit agencies, major accountancy firms, and other organisations and companies around the world where public money needs to be effectively and efficiently managed.
Globally, CIPFA leads the way in public finance. We support best practice in the management of public sector resources and use our values and expertise to help UK and international public financial managers as they grapple with sovereign debt issues and austerity programmes and the range of responses these require.
We’re looking for a well-rounded business focused IT professional and leader who is enthusiastic, dynamic and resilient; one who is looking to make a real difference to the dissemination of information and resources around public financial management across the UK and around the world.
You need to be credible, with a clear and strong vision for CIPFA’s business strategy and the role that IT must play in its achievement. You must have the capability and resilience to find a way; and be able to implement that strategy whilst being flexible to the changing demands of market with its emerging issues and varying priorities of demand.
We also want a strong leader who can set the direction and pace for your team, and represent IT at all levels of the organisation – from CIPFA’s Council and Board through to our key accounts and with colleagues across the organisation. A leader who is also an effective coach and mentor to a diverse team of talent and experience.
The CIO is expected to be based in London but will be expected to travel regularly to CIPFA’s other offices in the UK
Interested? And up for a challenge to really shape the future of public finance, then we’d love to hear from you.
