This is an exciting new role for the Council. You will be a key member of the senior leadership team, championing digital improvement and change throughout Lewisham. Working collaboratively across the Council, with our partners and alongside our diverse communities, you will help achieve the best possible outcomes for our citizens and our customers.
You will lead on the development and implementation of the Council’s IT strategy, supporting the Council’s ambitious programme of change and improvement.
This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to shape Lewisham’s IT and digital services for the future. You will work closely with our Shared Service partners to secure outstanding IT support for the Council which will enable us to transform our businesses and provide excellent customer access across our services.
An experienced technology leader within a complex organisation of comparable scale, you will be equally adept at defining an ambitious strategy in support of business change, whilst ensuring the delivery of consistent, resilient, flexible IT services through a shared service operating model. Experience of leading large, multi-disciplinary digital and technology teams and significant budgets is essential.
As a strategic leader, you will have a proven record of developing credibility and building collaborative relationships with senior managers, politicians, staff, partners and local communities.
