Regular travel will be required, especially to MOD Main Building, London.

The DIO is currently undertaking an ambitious and challenging transformation, which involves changing the way that we work with our clients across the armed forces. We aim to provide first class estate expertise and delivery insight across the whole of the MoD portfolio and give our clients confidence that they are providing the best working environment for those defending the security of our nation.

The Defence Optimisation Programme was mobilised to deliver the Footprint Strategy which outlined how a 30% reduction in MoD built estate could be achieved by 2040, subject to available funding.  This programme will deliver a smaller but better estate in support of military capability, through a long-term approach to transform an estate.

You will be a senior infrastructure adviser, responsible for ensuring the delivery of the DIO elements of this programme seeking to rationalise the Defence estate onto a smaller, more modern, and efficient footprint, delivering a 30% reduction in the built estate by 2040.  You will be an exceptional leader with a delivery and customer focus across a large scale, diverse and technically complex infrastructure portfolio.  A natural collaborator and effective communicator you will be able to point to a successful track record of inspiring others.
