Papworth Trust is a disability charity with a proud 100-year heritage. Throughout our history, we have sought to challenge society's perceptions about what disabled people can do, as well as delivering first class services to support disabled people to live their everyday lives. With a national profile and reputation that enables us to punch above our weight, we have a strong voice in representing disabled people and influencing the national policy agenda.
After nine successful years as Chair, Rob Hammond will be stepping down in September 2019.
With a new Chief Executive, Sarah Miller, and a reinvigorated strategy and business plan in place, this is an exciting time to join the Trust. We’re looking for a talented and passionate leader who will bring their vision and strong strategic leadership abilities to the Board. As a recognised senior leader, you will bring both credibility and established networks within your field to the role. With solid experience of chairing a board or a committee within a complex organisation, yours will be an open, challenging and supportive leadership style.
We need someone who shares our desire to make a lasting difference to disabled people’s lives, now and in the future, and you will be as excited as we are about our potential to turn bold ambitions into reality.
If you have the passion and skills to make a difference, then we would like to hear from you.
For an informal discussion about the role, contact our advising consultants Katy Giddens (020 7426 3973) or Rebecca O’Connor (020 7426 3373).
