States of Jersey
We’re continuing to build a new and exciting future for Jersey that is modern, sustainable and prosperous for all. It’s a future that will see people, business and government come together to collaborate in a way they’ve never done before. We are calling this Team Jersey and is an important milestone in delivering our strategy: one island, one community, one government – and one exciting future. We need talented leaders to join us for a career-defining opportunity: to make change happen on a unique, historic island.
As Director General for Health and Community Services you will lead an integrated health and social care service which includes a General Hospital, Adult Social Services, and Community and Mental Health Services. You will be responsible for the Healthcare modernisation team which is implementing the transformation, modernisation and efficiency programme for health and community services designed to optimise primary, secondary and tertiary care, in order to improve the effectiveness of the service. You will lead our commissioning function and you will oversee the commissioning of a new hospital for Jersey, due for completion in 2024.
To deliver transformation and safe, resilient services, you’ll work as part of Team Jersey on all strategic matters. That means you need to be a highly credible figure with the ability and confidence to build strategic relationships. Able to hold sway with a range of influential people, you’ll be perfectly at home in a political environment. Meanwhile, you’ll also be used to managing performance and inspiring teams to achieve. With an understanding of policy and governance in your area, and your focus set firmly on the future, you’ll be equipped to give our Island – and its people – the tomorrow they deserve.
Bring the boundless talent we’re looking for and you can help lead the biggest transformation in our government for a generation. Join Team Jersey and find your unique place in the world.
