We are helping to change Britain’s nuclear legacy into an environmental one. As one of the largest reactor decommissioning programmes in Europe, we are seeking to build a special team of world-leading professionals. A team that can help accomplish our mission safely, securely and cost-effectively. It’s a unique opportunity for talented individuals who want to help the country turn a corner.
The Site Restoration Programme Manager will be responsible for defining and delivering the end state plans for the former nuclear generating sites across the Magnox organisation, and ensuring that all sites achieve suitable land condition to hand over to the Care and Maintenance phase. You will be at the forefront of the new disposal strategy which will revolutionise the way that future decommissioning activity is designed, and work with a range of stakeholders, including the Environment Agency and local planning authorities, to provide assurance throughout the roll out of this new strategy.
To succeed in this highly challenging and demanding role you will be a delivery focused programme leader with safety as your highest priority, and an ability to think creatively, challenge and influence at the conceptual phase of strategy design. You will bring a strong working knowledge of the issues surrounding land quality and the environment, and will have experience of incorporating social and community factors in to decision-making processes.
