Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is a highly successful and award winning hospital and community services trust with a workforce of 2,600 and 400 volunteers serving a population of over 200,000 people across West and North Yorkshire and East Lancashire.  We are committed to our vision “to be the hospital chosen by the community for putting patients first, providing excellent, innovative and diverse services, delivering safe standards of care, all underpinned by the constant pursuit of efficiency”

Our new Chief Executive is also the leader of the Airedale, Craven and Wharfdale Health and Care Partnership and this Clinical Director position will play a key leadership role in the wider system to ensure effective and safe integration of health and care services that support our diverse population to be ‘happy, healthy at home’.  Recognised nationally for our technological innovation in clinical services, we are a progressive organisation with a culture and commitment to supporting and developing clinical leaders.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Clinical Director in our Integrated Care leadership team reporting to a Deputy Medical Director.  As one of three Clinical Directors in the Group you will combine responsibility for a broad portfolio of services in either our urgent care, planned care or acute care area with the opportunity to take a corporate leadership role in an area of interest across the Trust, for example Quality Improvement.  We would welcome an application from a leader with a medical or clinical background in any of the specialties within the Group.

If you are an innovative and ambitious leader, seeking to expand your experience and influence beyond your specialism, this role is an exceptional opportunity for you.  We are seeking an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, a skilled communicator with the personal qualities and credibility to inspire our dedicated workforce and ensure that we continue to put patients first and deliver the right care, every time.

If you are looking for an opportunity to step up into a broader clinical leadership position and make your mark in influencing the wider health and care system we are keen to hear from you. Please see for more information about our organisation, this role and how to apply.
