Energy Systems Catapult
At the Energy Systems Catapult, we instigate and drive forward meaningful and important initiatives that not only have a genuinely positive impact on the Government’s Climate Change agenda, but also on UK plc and our country’s world class reputation for innovation.
We take an independent, whole energy systems view, working with stakeholders across the energy sector (consumers, industry, academia and government) to identify innovation priorities, gaps in the market and overcome barriers to accelerating the decarbonization of the energy system at least cost. In doing so, we seek to open up routes to market for innovators, as well as supporting them to understand how their products, services and value propositions fit into the transforming energy system.
Our Board is a collective of exceptionally bright and accomplished people with a broad range of sector knowledge and expertise and a passion for what we do. We are now keen to strengthen it with an additional member who will bring specific subject matter expertise in either data science and analytics or energy futures, as well as a commitment to organisational governance and the statutory duties as a Director of the Energy Systems Catapult.
For this role, we are seeking an intellectually capable, commercially focused leader from a high-tech, future focused organisation who will be able to provide input to our strategic vision, bringing knowledge and expertise, leadership and guidance to the Energy Systems Catapult’s Board and Leadership Team. With an active interest in our agenda and an appreciation for the difference we can make, your commercial acumen, lateral view of the world and appreciation of the UK's research landscape will constructively challenge us, accelerating our ability to develop innovative ideas and hugely complex research and delivery-led programmes.
Given our appetite for leading edge market and technical insight, we suspect this is an opportunity for a first time Non-Executive Director who is invested in our mission and we will pro-actively support you in your transition to the role.
