The Head of IT is a key role in our senior leadership team focused on high performing stewardship of our organisational resources and assets. Working closely with the Chief Executive and other directors, the Head of IT will be expected to build strong internal and external relationships. It is an exciting and new position of responsibility in a growing, dynamic youth charity.
Reporting to the Corporate Resources Director, you will provide strategic direction and leadership to the management of IT across Girlguiding aligning IT strategy and implementation with the organisation’s wider strategic vision. You will lead the planning and implementation of our IT programmes to meet the organisation’s current and future business requirements and ensure effective use of the organisation’s IT assets.
With a proven ability to operate at a senior level you will bring a combination of high-level professional skills and knowledge and highly sophisticated interpersonal skills. Comprehensive knowledge of information systems is essential, as well as the ability to link and apply complex technologies to a strategic plan. Qualified to degree level in Computer Science, IT Management or Information Management (or with equivalent experience) you will also demonstrate a meaningful commitment to our vision and values and tackle this role with energy and drive. While Girlguiding’s young members may be female only, our staff team is mixed gender and we welcome applicants from any gender and background.
