Our mission is to provide homes we are proud of and to improve lives. Could you bring the commitment, skills and experiences we need to be one of our new Board Members and to chair one of our committees?

At First Choice Homes Oldham we recognise the key role we play as a local anchor organisation, creating thriving and independent communities and delivering excellent landlord and support services. We own and manage around 11,500 properties across the borough and surrounding areas, with around 10% of the local population living in one of our homes. Underpinned by excellent governance and strong financial performance, we have the highest regulatory (G1/V1) rating.

For one of our roles we are looking for an impressive track record of leading, and especially transforming, the HR, people and cultural aspects of an organisation. This is an opportunity to be the Chair of our People and Governance Committee, and as such you are very likely to have prior non-executive experience. Your career could have progressed in any sector, and although a CIPD qualification is desirable, it isn’t essential.

The second opportunity is for a property professional with strategic leadership experience gained in the social housing sector, possibly as a Director, Executive Director or as a NED. It’s essential that you bring to FCHO a good understanding of strategic asset investment, potentially combined with knowledge of new development programmes. Experience in regeneration, and an understanding of sustainability, are also required skills. This could be your first, or next, non-executive role.

In line with our social purpose, our offer to customers goes far beyond providing somewhere to live and our commitment to improving lives is what makes us more than just a landlord.
