“Working together to help you to stay healthy and to care for you expertly and compassionately when you are not”.

This is our mission statement. To help us achieve it, we are looking for two exceptional individuals to help us shape the future of our NHS Foundation Trust:

  • one individual to chair our Audit Committee, who has exceptional financial and audit skills along with a recognised professional accounting qualification. You will bring experience of working as a CFO or similar in a large, complex public, private or voluntary sector organisation; and
  • one individual to chair our Digital Committee, who has senior leadership experience as a CIO, CDIO or equivalent, who has successfully driven holistic, digitally enabled transformation at scale.

These important roles are being offered at an exciting time for our organisation, as we progress our Better Together strategy to meet our ambitions to be a digital-first, research-led teaching organisation that delivers sustainable care to our patients across North, Mid and East Devon.

Our people are at the heart of the care we deliver and one of our core objectives is to be a great place to work. We are proud of the investment that we make into the teaching, training and development and supporting the health and wellbeing of our colleagues.

Candidates will be flexible in approach with an ability to engage and inspire; but, above all, your personal values will be aligned to our own. You will have the vision, independence of judgement and commitment to support us to deliver the highest quality healthcare possible to the people of  Devon.

As an inclusive employer, the Royal Devon values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone is able to be themselves and to reach their full potential. The Trust actively encourages applications from people of all backgrounds and cultures.
