Taking it Personally

At Sirona care & health, we are proud that our culture is based on the idea that we treat our patients the way we would our own loved ones. We are the provider of community health services across all ages in; Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG).

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), we are commissioned by the NHS and Local Authorities, but by being fully independent we are able to be more agile and innovative how we look after adults and children, at home and at school.

We are seeking an exceptional leader as our new Chief Executive. You will work alongside our Board and  lead us in delivering our business plan for 2025-26, as well as our new strategy so that alongside our partners we can make the forthcoming NHS 10 year plan a reality for our communities; realising the opportunities in digital, moving from care in hospitals to care in the community, and from a system that treats sickness, to one that prevents ill health.

We must use our social entrepreneurship, together with the skills and experience of our amazing workforce, to provide drive and leadership alongside our partners to ensure we have a solid foundation, long future, and ultimately improve outcomes for all our population.

During the past year, we have been working with our teams, our health system partners, and with voluntary, community, and third sector organisations to develop a shared vision, direction, and ambition for the future. The result of this work is our new Sirona Strategy: Improved Outcomes for All - a framework for working together to make the shifts that we all want to become a reality.

Sirona is a key partner within the BNSSG health system. As the single community healthcare provider for children’s and adult services across a population of almost 1 million people, our services span all ages from birth to end of life. We have over 3,500 employees and an annual turnover of over £200m which makes us one of the largest CICs in the country.

We are looking for an authentic, compassionate leader, who will bring their passion for transforming critical public services. Our people work tirelessly for our population, and deserve a Chief Executive who provides visible support, whilst instilling a culture of sustained performance improvement, and high-quality care.

We need a Chief Executive who understands the environment we operate in, and will work as an equal partner with all members of the BNSSG ICB around the long-term future of our contracts, and commissioning arrangements. Bringing business acumen, you will be entrepreneurial and able to spot opportunities for us to strengthen existing relationships, as well as building new ones, so that our expertise is embedded and realised in our health and social care system.

You must be passionate about community health care, and have an ability to translate your expertise within our setting so that you can contribute across all parts of our system, raising Sirona’s voice, and that of community services at local, regional, and national level. Given our challenging agenda, we are seeking an experienced leader. You might already be a Chief Executive, or looking to make your first step. You will need to bring substantial Board level leadership experience from a complex, public facing, and highly regulated sector.
