Are you a bold, values-driven leader ready to make a real difference in people’s lives? Big Life Group is looking for an exceptional Director to join our Executive Team and lead the growth and development of our Children and Family Services, while playing a pivotal role across the whole organisation.

The Role

Big Life is in the business of changing lives. We fight inequality by working with people and places to create opportunities and inspire change. Whatever service we deliver to help people to change their lives, we do things the Big Life Way.

As Director, you’ll be a key part of our Executive Team and Board, ensuring the successful delivery of services and playing a leading role in shaping Big Life’s future.

Your focus will be on leading and expanding our Children and Family Services – including family hubs, nurseries, family support – and spearheading a major new initiative to deliver children’s care through social enterprise models.

We’ve already secured seed investment to develop a fostering agency and children’s homes and we need your leadership to bring this vision to life.

You’ll also contribute to the wider leadership of the group, working with colleagues to ensure that Big Life continues to deliver high-quality services in line with our values and The Big Life Way.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with vision, ambition and compassion – who combines a strong operational skillset with a deep understanding of children and family services.

You should have:

  • Senior leadership experience, with at least 2 years managing senior teams
  • Experience of managing contracts, growing and procuring services
  • Knowledge of the children’s care sector and ability to innovate within it
  • Financial and strategic planning skills
  • An ability to network and influence others
  • A commitment to fighting inequality and working in a values-led way
