West London is one of the most diverse providers of NHS mental and physical care in the UK. We are a Trust with genuine ambition and a clear vision - to be the best organisation of our kind in the country - an outstanding healthcare provider, committed to improving quality, and caring with compassion.

We are proud of our journey of improvement and growth over the last four years which has included the expansion of our service portfolio in to encompass the leadership of community services in the Boroughs of Ealing, Hounslow and beyond.  Navigation of this journey and realisation of change has only been made possible with the dedication, commitment and engagement of our 6000 staff, more of whom than ever would recommend us a place of work.  Our values underpin all that we do and shape our approach to driving transformation through greater co-production and a commitment to working in an increasingly collaborative manner with North West London partners and wider system partners.

The Chief Strategy Officer is a key leadership role, covering strategy development, transformation, partnerships and digital, playing a critical role in leading on the transformation and strategy development of the organisation, ensuring the Trust’s strategic direction aligns with the priorities of the ICB and the collaboration with CNWL and CLCH. The role leads on delivering change in a way that ensures the outcomes for service users, carers, our workforce and wider system are delivered in the most effective and efficient ways possible.

Our transformation has been underpinned by a commitment to working in an increasingly collaborative manner with wider health and social care partners.  We are an active and effective partner in the North West London Integrated Care system.  Our new governance arrangements with Mental Health and Community Collaboratives reflects the shift in NHS improvement philosophy from competition to collaboration. The Chief Strategy Officer will be a key contributor at Trust, collaborative and system level, ensuring that as a Trust we develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, participate in key decisions and ensure that we work closely with our local partners.

We are looking for an energetic and innovative CSO who has the drive to develop the organisational strategy and partnership arrangements, along with the practical delivery skills to translate vision into reality working collaboratively with our staff, partners, patients and service users. An essential component of the role is the ability to form and build relationships both internally but across organisations, ICS and national with the ability to influence and thrive in areas of uncertainty. You should have a track record of improving patient services through developing strategic partnerships and leading through others to deliver the strategic ambitions of the organisation. Above all else we are seeking an individual whose personal values mirror our own and whose priorities are firmly focussed on developing and delivering outstanding services that are accessible to all.
