We're looking for an experienced Group Finance Director to join our Group Leadership Team and oversee financial control of a £200M+ turnover business.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Torus, the North West’s largest affordable housing provider and one of its biggest and fastest-growing developers and commercial contractors. At Torus, we’re all about creating sustainable, stable and thriving communities – and making positive changes happen. So if you think you can make a difference and give something back to our communities, Torus is the place for you. Our Group Finance Director will:

  • Manage a team of 70+ employees
  • Contribute to the debate to set the strategic direction for the whole group and its subsidiaries to ensure delivery of the group’s business plan
  • Ensure the group meets its annual financial targets and key performance indicators
  • Deliver business outcomes, targets and key performance indicators to support delivery of the corporate plan through strong financial management, budgetary control and project and business planning
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of budgetary and statutory accounts and returns
  • Have responsibility for defining and maintaining compliance with the Corporate Business Plan and assumptions, and Finance Strategy Golden Rules
  • Have responsibility for compliance in all areas relating to tax, pensions, rent setting, treasury management policy and loan covenants

As a qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA), you will bring to Torus a track record of leading financial control activities in a comparably complex structure. Experience of the social housing sector is not essential, although we are looking for a financial leader who will inspire and motivate a large team and build strong relationships across a group which is focused on achieving our mission of Growing Stronger Communities.
