To further support and enhance our journey of transformation, we are now seeking a new Head of Learning & Development. As a core contributor to our vision of developing an exceptional workforce, you will lead a large and diverse team of staff and officers, responsible for a portfolio of learning and development, police training (PEQF), and organisational development. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, senior leaders, regional and national colleagues and higher education partners to lead us in ensuring we develop a capable and confident workforce with the right skills and training to deliver an excellent service.
As part of the People & Organisational Development Senior Leadership Team, you will bring with you a strong background in the full life cycle of learning and development. Holding a strategic ‘big picture’ mentality to developing learning opportunities and career pathway plans for all levels of staff, you will be a naturally collaborative and innovative leader, with an astute ability to implement solutions that create an engaged, modern and empowered workforce.
We are therefore seeking a suitably qualified L&D professional, with a proven track record of working across a complex organisation, with a diverse and varied staff skillset. Delivering a fully budgeted and scrutinised delivery plan, alongside the ability to drive ‘best value’ from external relationships will be critical here, therefore your confidence within this space will be important.
