Promoting hope and wellbeing together

West London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse healthcare providers in the UK, delivering a range of mental health, physical healthcare, and community services, including running Broadmoor Hospital, one of the country’s three high secure hospitals.

Our 4,500 dedicated staff are proud of the care they deliver, something that has been recognised by the “Good” rating we have from the CQC, with our forensic services rated as “Outstanding”. We have worked hard to ensure our staff have seen improvement across all of our people promised themes, and have received a series of national rewards for our innovative workforce and service programmes.

We serve some of the most diverse communities in the UK, and have been on a significant journey of transformation to improve the quality of our services, tackling long-standing inequalities and working through greater co-production with service users and carers. We are an integral part of the North West London ICS, leading on the North West London CAMHS provider collaborative, whilst our community services in Ealing are delivered through a venture with no less than 14 partners.

Our new Chief Executive will join at a pivotal time for the Trust, a programme of work is planned across the four NHS Trusts providing mental health and community services in North-West London to establish a shared governance arrangement, and we are looking for someone to lead us through this period, and potentially beyond.

We are looking for an innovative, inclusive, and visionary leader who will build on our success to date to help us become a consistently outstanding organisation. We are seeking a candidate with the strategic acumen and strong collaborative skills to ensure that we achieve our strategic objectives, combined with the vision to lead the transformation of both mental health and community services with our staff, service users, carers, and partner organisations. But most importantly, we want someone who can see their values reflected in our own, and who is passionate about promoting hope and wellbeing together.
