Ever considered applying to a public sector board?

If you’re an aspiring non-executive director (NED), we’d like to talk with you to understand your experiences and perceptions of the public appointments process.

Diverse boards are critical to effective decision making. We know this, yet the Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment (OCPSE) most recent annual report evidenced that the number of public appointments made to women, people with a disability, and people from an ethnic minority background declined in 2020/2021.

We are committed to promoting the diversity of Boards and strengthening the next generation of leadership, which is why we’re delighted to be working with The Public Chairs’ Forum and The Pensions Regulator on research to assist Chairs in removing barriers to diversity in public appointments.

If you’ve never held a Board position before, or consider yourself to be a diverse candidate, get in touch to arrange an interview: https://publicchairsforum.org.uk/diversity-in-public-appointments/
