Prior to joining us Zoe worked in the public sector for over 20 years. Much of her career was heading up organisational governance and strategy development. Her considerable experience has been gained through numerous roles including government funding and regulatory bodies, a large regional Housing Association, and The National Housing Federation where she worked on numerous lobbying campaigns, looked after over 100 member organisations and their boards, and worked with the then Regional Housing Board to develop the first ‘East Midlands Housing Strategy’.
Zoe heads up our Board Advisory team, ensuring that we can support our clients in reviewing their governance arrangements and getting the best out of their boards. She works with organisations across a range of sectors including housing, education, health, not for profit, financial services, and central government to evaluate governance effectiveness and support organisations who are seeking to review their governance structures.
Alongside our specialist team she has helped organisations ensure they have the foundations and bench strength to deliver on their organisational ambitions and strategic objectives. Services that Zoe leads include end to end governance effectiveness review, skills audit, board and committee observation, governance restructures, board appraisal, governance process reviews and succession planning support.
Over the last seven years Zoe has worked as a consultant leading on a range of projects including governance and effectiveness reviews, regulatory compliance and recovery assignments, executive and non-executive search and selection, merger and post-merger support and delivered senior governance interim assignments.
