Non-Executive Director

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust
GBP £12000 per annum (subject to final approval by the Council of Governors)

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation (RUH Bath) Trust provides acute and specialist care for over half a million people in the local area, plus a broader community regionally and nationally for specialist services. We have a workforce of circa 5,000 and a turnover in excess of £320m.

RUH Bath is a vibrant organisation with a reputation for delivering high quality services, though increasingly this is set against a backdrop of the fundamental challenges facing the sector.  The future will be about organisations working together to deliver the best quality experience and outcomes for patients in a sustainable way. We have already started this journey and are pioneering new ventures and new ways of working. We are at the forefront of shaping the landscape of healthcare delivery locally, whilst continuing to lead ground breaking, nationally recognised services.

We are now seeking to appoint a Non-Executive Director to help drive forward the next phase of our development. Your role will be to ensure the Trust meets its statutory objectives, whilst always prioritising a commitment to excellent patient care. You will use your experience, insight and judgment to add value to our strategic planning and governance, holding the executive to account, offering collaborative challenge and advice.

We are seeking an individual with Board level experience who can evidence both commercial expertise and financial acumen.  A creative thinker, adept at building relationships, the successful candidate will bring a track record of leading significant programmes of change gained within a people focussed environment.  Above all else, they will share our passion for delivering patient centric and sustainable services.
