Commissioning Delivery Manager

GatenbySanderson is currently recruiting for an interim Commissioning Delivery Manager focussing on children’s services and specifically a project on autism. This role is initially 4-6 months and the client specifically requires someone with transformational skills, project management and stakeholder relationship skills.

Overall duties:

Work within the Commissioning Delivery Team, supporting the Operational Delivery Managers and Senior Commissioning Delivery Managers to provide commissioning expertise and utilise transformation skills to deliver the outcomes required by the Directorate and customers.

Lead and be responsible for undertaking service review and redesign of clinical areas and pathways, across an agreed range of work streams, ensuring effective and evidence based commissioning across acute, community and primary care, and working closely with partners in social care in integrated commissioning arrangements as appropriate.

Lead / support large scale transformation initiatives working with a range of external partners as required in their work stream areas, ensuring that best practice and evidence based practice is at the heart of service redesign and deploying appropriate tools and skills from the transformation methodology.

Support local and regional planning processes as appropriate, including responsibility for ensuring that key national and local policy areas are addressed, and national and local targets are delivered, with their work stream areas.

Work closely with local commissioning teams to support areas such as: implementing and monitoring commissioning intentions and delivery plans, QIPP and financial recovery plans, and demand management plans.

They will ensure that future needs are identified and evidence is reviewed to inform service development plans and that these are focussed on delivery of outcomes which improve patient care, ensure clinical effectiveness and value for money
