Interim Public Health Practitioner – Fixed Term Assignment at Band 8a (inside IR35) – North West England – 6 months +
The role involves developing and maintaining strategic partnerships across the statutory, voluntary, private and independent sectors to plan cohesively for health improvement and provides leadership and direction for partnership programmes and initiatives to promote health and wellbeing across all sectors. The post holder is responsible for providing highly specialised advice and expertise on the development of public health/health promotion strategy, policy and practice, with particular emphasis the promotion of health and wellbeing. Other duties will include but not be limited to:
- Play a leading role in the development and implementation of the Health Social Care & Well-being Strategy, Children and Young People’s Plan and related programmes and policies
- To be responsible for the development of public health capacity and networks
- Lead, develop and sustain strategic partnership work that spans organisational and professional boundaries including local authorities, NHS organisations, voluntary organisations and independent sector, to deliver strategic and operational objectives.
