Procurement Project Manager
We are seeking an Interim Audit Procurement Project Manager to plan and manage through to completion a project to develop a new Code of Audit Practice and run a procurement for audit services for up to 250 local government, central government, NHS and Further Education public bodies, and to appoint the auditor to each body. The current value of similar contracts is £14.13 million per annum. The project must be completed by the end of May 2021 in line with the provisions set out in the outline for appointments and code Board paper dated March 2019. You will have board level credibility and project management skills and be someone that can drive things forward. Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Leading the development of procurement strategy and development
- Tender and appointments exercise
- Developing and managing a comprehensive plan for the overall project
- Working with professional advisers to secure the required project outcomes
- Engaging with sector and other stakeholders
This role will be for 24 months and suit somebody who has an existing portfolio of work as this role will not always be full time. You will be based across 2 sites and the rate is c£500
