Vale of Aylesbury Housing
We are looking for a new Executive Director of Finance and Resources to help us to drive forward our plans by using both their technical finance expertise and commercial acumen. As a member of the Executive Management Team, you will have corporate accountability across the entire business, and we are looking for a real team player who looks at the organisation as a whole rather than just their own Directorate.
We want an inspirational leader, who will enthuse and motivate others to embed a strong customer focussed culture and be committed to customer experience and satisfaction. A successful track record working in a senior finance role in a complex organisation is essential, as is strong commercial awareness and the ability to build excellent stakeholder relationships that maximise our growth potential.
This is a very exciting time to be joining us; Aylesbury Vale is a major growth area and we are well placed and resourced to thrive in this environment. We believe that organisations need to be agile and responsive to the needs of their residents, communities and other partners and we are well equipped to do this because of our local emphasis and presence.
Maintaining our position as the most significant social landlord in our area is key for us and we’ll be providing more homes across all affordable housing tenures and homes for sale through Fairfax Housing, which is our newly created subsidiary. To fund our development plans we have recently increased and diversified our loan portfolio which now includes traditional bank and building society loans, but also funds from private placements with UK and American investors.
Vale of Aylesbury Housing is a ‘not-for-profit’ Registered Social Landlord (RSL) and we provide affordable housing for over 20,000 people living and working in Aylesbury and the surrounding villages of the Vale. We are one of the area’s leading local social housing providers. We own and are responsible for in excess of 7,600 homes, 16 supported housing schemes, 129 shared ownership properties and over 1,900 garages that are let to the public. We also own a number of commercial units located in the Vale.
This is a great opportunity to join us at a time when you can have a real and personal impact on determining our future direction. We welcome applicants from all sections of the communities we work in.
