Methodist Insurance PLC is a specialist insurance company, with a strong reputation for personal service. The Company specialises in the insurance of properties belonging to the Methodist Church and its associated organisations. The Company has remained true to its founding values and its mission is to run an ethical and profitable general insurance company for the benefit of the Methodist Church and to help its communities to create safe environments for worship, witness and service.

The Company is now looking for a new Non-Executive Director, who will bring a strong understanding of the financial services sector – specifically insurance, together with demonstrable senior leadership experience gained in a UK business and the capability and potential to chair a Board Committee or the Board in the future. A background in actuarial, finance, investment management or legal/regulatory would be preferable.

The ability to work collaboratively, think strategically and to achieve collective decisions is as important as a strong track record in your professional field. You will also bring a clear commitment to the highest standards of integrity, a reputation for sound judgement, together with the ability to bring empathy to our work and critical relationship with the Methodist Church.
