Craig is part of the Interim Leadership team and specialises in the appointment of Directors and Assistant Directors within the People Sector of Local Government. This includes Directors of Children’s and Adult’s Services, Public Health and Education.
He has worked with us for over 6 years and has a national remit supporting clients, candidates and colleagues alike. He takes a keen interest in supporting those who are entering the interim leadership market for the first time, as well as continuing to assist those that he has worked with for over a decade.
Craig's experience spans appointing into extremely tough improvement roles, innovation fund backed roles, Local Government Reorganisation as well as more traditional gap cover requirements. A recent focus has been on our response to changes to IR35 and how we engage with clients to ensure that they receive the best return on their investment.
Prior to GatenbySanderson, he worked in Executive Search for 6 years as a Director, leading work across Social Care roles within Local Government, and in his earlier career spent a decade primarily supporting public sector clients and establishing an Interim Practice specialising in appointing senior leaders into the NHS.
