Our new Directors will work closely with the five Clinical Commissioning Groups across the county and colleagues across the council to identify and deliver the most appropriate commissioning solutions to support our priorities.

We are looking for people who have experience of commissioning services in complex, multi-agency environments; people who can lead large-scale change programmes and who have worked successfully with partners to share resources in commercial environments.

Reporting to the Executive Director for People (Children and Adults), this is an opportunity to help shape the future of local government in one of the country's largest local authorities.

At a time of huge challenge, we’re creating a platform from which we can challenge attitudes, build support and inspire actions. Our marketing, communications and brand awareness are central to this. Over the last couple of years, we’ve raised our profile, built an inspiring new identity and earned a real reputation for innovation. But to make our new strategy a reality we need to make a step change in our visibility and profile.

We’re looking for an experienced marketing and communications professional to help take forward an ambitious, far-reaching communications strategy. You’ll take the lead for brand and marketing across Scope, strengthening our external presence and helping us become a household name. You’ll work closely with the Chief Executive and senior colleagues to ensure we achieve even more influence, leading on media relations as well as digital and stakeholder engagement. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this is an important corporate role too, and you’ll be involved in a range of topical and sometimes controversial issues.

We need a highly effective strategic leader who is excited by Scope’s direction and by our potential as a positive force for social change. With outstanding credentials across communication and marketing, you’ll have a strong track record of increasing the visibility and profile of major national organisations. A background in the voluntary sector isn’t essential, but you’ll demonstrate an ability to quickly understand the issues of relevance to disabled people and to Scope so as to be confident and credible with our stakeholders. All the foundations are in place and this role now offers the opportunity to make a lasting contribution at the heart of our organisation.

Managing Director, Social Work Practice

Here at North East Lincolnshire we are determined to do things differently in order to improve the way we support our most vulnerable adults. Since 2011, adult social work in the borough has been operating as one of seven national Social Work Practice pilots. Our next step is to establish a social enterprise model which, subject to cabinet approval, will be up and running from September 2013. This will enable us to become more flexible as an organisation, working closely with our communities to improve outcomes and develop our functions.

We are now looking for a Managing Director to lead this new organisation of 140 people, reporting to a Chair and Board. It is a great opportunity to be part of something truly ground-breaking. Indeed, we feel this is the way ahead for social work, and we are therefore looking for candidates who are able to think differently and really understand how to work creatively with staff and service users to deliver the best results. You will be a qualified social worker, with management experience in the voluntary sector or local government, and above all a passion for innovation, engagement and partnership working.
