We will be led by the outcomes that the people of Essex need from us and that will be at the centre of everything we do.

We are committed to enabling vulnerable people to enjoy a better quality of life, protecting our residents from harm and supporting parents, carers and families to create safe and stable homes. Our new Directors will work closely with the five Clinical Commissioning Groups across the county and colleagues across the council to identify and deliver the most appropriate commissioning solutions to support our priorities.

We are looking for people who have experience of commissioning services in complex, multi-agency environments; people who can lead large-scale change programmes and who have worked successfully with partners to share resources in commercial environments.

Reporting to the Executive Director for People (Children and Adults), this is an opportunity to help shape the future of local government in one of the country's largest local authorities.
