&lt;p&gt;The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport (DfT) responsible for the licensing and registration of drivers and vehicles. It maintains&amp;nbsp; over 44 million driver records and almost 37 million vehicle records.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Since 2002 DVLA has been leading the way in government digital services.&amp;nbsp; Last year, 42% of its&amp;nbsp; 16 million driver transactions and 54% of its vehicle record transactions were carried out on-line&amp;nbsp; Now, building on that success it needs to make a further step change in its digital performance &amp;ndash; to develop and improve its services for customers.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As Chief Executive you will be responsible for leading this transformation programme as well as developing staff and managers so that they are fully equipped to meet this challenge.&amp;nbsp; You will develop and inspire a culture that ensures DVLA is a responsive, agile and empowered organisation ready to anticipate and meet future demands.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You will be responsible for the overall performance of the DVLA which is one of the largest government transactional businesses in the country. You will need strong operational experience, and will be able to demonstrate how you have delivered high performance levels and a strong customer ethos in your previous roles. Strong leadership skills are a pre-requisite for this role as you will inspire and motivate a workforce of over 5,000 to continue to deliver excellent performance during a period of major change.
