Care Visions organisation, since its inception in 1998, has grown considerably and has expanded and diversified significantly to provide not only therapeutic Residential Care for young people across Scotland but the organisation also provides, home care, professional fostering and social care recruitment services throughout the UK.

Reporting directly to the Chairman and the Board of the Care Visions organisation this new role based in Stirling, with UK travel, will be part of the Executive Team and will have direct responsibility for leading the strategic development, planning and delivery of all three of the operational service delivery businesses; Residential, Fostering and Home Care.

You will have a background of operating at a senior level in Social Care or Health, with strong relationship management skills, a track record of delivering operational effectiveness and efficiency, a thorough knowledge of the regulatory and legislative framework in which we operate.

The ChildLine Services Division is an exciting and new combination of all our services that reach out to children right across the UK. ChildLine Services’ objective is to provide accessible support and advice to ensure that every child is listened to and protected. We look at children’s needs from a child’s perspective – putting them at the heart of what we do.

Included within the Division is:

ChildLine - The UK's free, 24-hour helpline for children in distress or danger ChildLine's telephone, online and automated text services provide children and young people with advice and support
The schools service – We are creating a new schools service targeted at all primary schools. The service will, eventually, help every child in the UK know how to protect themselves and where to go for help when they need it.
Children and Young People’s Participation – We are committed in involving children and young people in the planning and review of what we do across the society

The Director of ChildLine Services has a crucial role in ensuring that the UK wide service we currently deliver, and the new schools service we are developing, give every child in the UK the opportunity to access advice and support when they need it most.

The ability to manage transition and motivate others through change processes is key in this role. A focus on achieving service standards and delivering outcomes which meet the needs of children, the organisation and other external partners in critical.

A social care background is preferable in this role.

The Services for Children and Families Division provides exciting and challenging opportunities for all staff who work within it. We are currently refocusing our services around priorities themes that have been established to increase focus and our newly shaped services will be innovative, pioneering and evidence based. They will increase the number of children helped directly by our services and have a significantly bigger impact beyond the scope of the service. The evidence gathered over the life span of the service will play a critical part in influencing the services delivered to children across the UK through our influencing and campaigning activities which will encourage others to take up our services or change practice and policy.

The Director of Services for Children and Families is critical to the success both of the transition from the current structure and way of working and to a newly focussed and revitalised division. The Director also has a key role to play in working closely with our other divisions and services to ensure we integrate and co-ordinate all our activities.

The ability to manage transition and motivate others through change processes is key in this role. Building strong relationships internally and externally will be critical in ensuring the services NSPCC offers are innovative, deliver the best outcomes for children and are taken up by other organisations.
