This is a joint appointment by the local CCG and Local Authority. Between them they are looking to appoint a commissioner with a mixed background across Adult Social Care and specifically Mental Health Services. Reporting directly to the Director of Adult Services within the LA and the Director of Commissioning at the CCG this post would suit an experienced interim manager who is adept at working across both health and SC.

The Joint Commissioner Adult Mental Health will lead commissioning in this area and address the needs of residents whilst further establishing collaborative working. The postholder will be responsible for commissioning mental health services for adults under and over 65 in accordance with the CCG operating plan priorities, Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy (JHWS) and the JHWS annual delivery plan for 2013/14, which is monitored by the Board. An experienced manager you will major role in assisting the development and implementation of an appropriate, safeguarding compliant commissioning framework to support the delivery of the commissioning agenda across health, housing and social care.
