Lead Partner, Assessment and Development
Mandy recently joined GatenbySanderson to lead on assignments, both locally and nationally, spanning the public sector.
She has 20 years experience in psychometric assessment and assessment centre methodology, with the last six years focusing on senior level posts in Central and Local Government, plus agencies. Before joining GatenbySanderson, she was a senior manager at KPMG, which involved leading on large scale assessment and development projects, including the Department of Health, where she has assessed over 400 Senior Civil Servants.
Her career began in human resources, and she is a chartered member of the CIPD. Latterly she trained as an occupational psychologist and has since specialised in the design of assessment and development centres, including bespoke exercise design. Having worked for a major psychometric test publisher and psychology consultancy, she is trained in, and has access, to the majority of the reputable personality instruments and ability tests on the market.
With a keen focus on quality and providing added value for clients in the recruitment and selection process of high calibre candidates, she promotes best practice in the use of assessments and contributed to the British Psychological Society’s guidelines on this subject. Providing a positive experience for candidates and ensuring final panel members have objective and accessibly presented information to use in their deliberations is a particular focus.
