Luke started his career in marketing within higher education before joining the PricewaterhouseCoopers (subsequently Veredus) Executive Search and Selection team in Leeds.  He joined GatenbySanderson in January 2004.

Luke has worked on a broad range of appointments within local and central government but has a particularly strong track record in the education/social care/children’s services sector.  He has previously led on high level projects for the DfES, Sector Skills Development Agency and National College for School Leadership, and while at GS he has helped numerous Local Authorities to appoint at Chief Executive, Director and AD level.  He has recently helped three Authorities appoint to Director posts in Adult Services.  He is based in the Leeds office of GatenbySanderson but his clients are based across the Midlands, North West and North East.   His key clients include City of York Council, Leicestershire County Council, Stockport MBC, Wirral MBC and Durham County Council.
