How it came about
This council approached us to help them find a new management team, from chief executive to head of service level.
The brief
To recruit a top management team for an ALMO which was replacing a failing housing structure.
What we did
We began with the chief executive appointment and carried out an initial candidate search. We then conducted preliminary technical interviews and used the chief executive of a successful stock transfer organisation as an external assessor.
The tenants and elected members then made the final decision before we cascaded this down to the next levels.
The outcome
Within a few months the new team was in place and the new organisation had been set up, in new premises with new branding. It is early days but the new organisation has got off to a great start.
