How it came about
GatenbySanderson began working with Shelter as a result of an ongoing working relationship between one of our consultants and the current chief executive.
The brief
Shelter was looking to recruit for the Director of Service post and they had some very specific skills in mind that the chosen candidate would have to demonstrate. These skills included exceptional performance management expertise and the ability and experience of managing multiple sites.
What we did
We searched our network and used our contacts to identify candidates who met the requirements. The exceptional candidate, who was eventually appointed, came from the housing sector and had all the skills that the client was looking for to help drive the organisation forward.
The outcome
Since successfully placing our first choice candidate in the position of Director of Service, we have maintained and continued to build on our excellent relationship with Shelter. This has led to us filling a number of additional posts including a non-executive chair (who was drawn for the health sector) and a host of trustee positions.
