GatenbySanderson shows a strong financial performance

We are delighted to have shown an exceptional peformance in 2008. In figures just released, a rise in sales from £10.2 million in 2007 to £21.9 million this year, has led to an increase in operating profits of over £2.8 million year on year to £3.9million.

In the last year, GatenbySanderson has continued a successful strategy of expansion within its core areas of Local and Central Government and Interim provision, while expanding further into the Health sector and making significant investment in new product development in areas such as Assessment and online services. The company is now made up of four separate practices, specialising in Executive Research, Digital Resourcing, Interim Leadership and Assessment and Development.

This strong, integrated offering proved a powerful asset in the successful bid for a number of large scale projects in 2008, including the recruitment of the executive teams for four unitary councils as well as the new Care Quality Commission by GatenbySanderson. With major offices in Leeds, London and Birmingham the company is well placed to build upon this strong track record.

We anticipated tougher conditions ahead of the sharp economic downturn and managed costs appropriately. However, we also made the decision to further invest in those areas where we were confident we could see a good return and this has had a positive effect upon our overall performance. In 2008, we achieved a repeat business rate of 72%, which is a reflection of the quality of our work and focus upon delivery.
