GatenbySanderson achieves IIP Accreditation

We are delighted to have successfully achieved Investors In People accreditation, following a 10 month programme of training and development modules designed to improve learning and communication across the business.

The programme was kick started with a dedicated IIP Roadshow that toured our three office locations in Leeds, London and Birmingham to ensure all colleagues were on board, involved and committed to the accreditation programme. Other initiatives included an independent colleague survey undertaken by a specialist research consultancy to tap into the issues that really mattered most to individuals. The results of this survey were then fed into the ‘Talent Group’, a team of colleagues responsible for planning and directing learning and development initiatives within GatenbySanderson. Helen Oates who Chairs the Talent Group commented: “We were very keen from the start that IIP should make a real, measurable difference to all colleagues and not just be a checklist to merely tick off. The attitudinal survey was a good starting point to understand where our people strengths lay and those areas where colleagues felt we could improve further. The key was then to make tangible, continuous progress in these areas.” The dedicated IIP team set up to meet this challenge did a great job."

Managing Partner Graham Goodwin, who last year received a Best Achievement honour from the Recruitment Business Awards, continued “We are delighted to have attained IIP status, only five years after launching the company.  From a standing start, we now have a turnover in excess of £10m, and it is really positive to know that we have maintained our focus upon our people during a very busy period. Our founding principle was that people are very much at the heart of our business and our colleagues, the core of our success. IIP accreditation is a standard that helps us maintain these principles as we grow further.”
