Senior scenarios

For the most senior level roles, we work with ex-CEOs to develop scenario-based in-tray exercises that helps identify a broad level of thinking at the most senior levels.

Stakeholder’s forums

Frequently we work with organisations to organise and facilitate forums, in which key stakeholders are invited to meet with candidates and discuss key issues, then feedback their views to the appointments panel. This helps organisations gain buy-in to the candidates from the outset, and to get to know the potential post holders in a more informal situation.

Crucially, this enables our clients to input their views and directly inform the decision in line with their priorities and needs.

Ability testing

We would never recommend you use ability tests as a single form of assessment. Where this can really add value is when a specific test is identified by our experts as the most appropriate test to a specific role, to identify sometimes hidden abilities that may not have been demonstrated in the interview.

Ability testing is great for providing a ‘snap shot’ of certain abilities under tight timescales and we always report back carefully and thoroughly to ensure the results are not misconstrued.

Personality testing

We are experts in selecting the right personality questionnaire for your organisation. Many questionnaires can be completed online to reduce candidates’ time with us, and in line with best practice we always carry out validation interviews to confirm the data provided.

From feedback we receive we know that candidates find this really insightful and clients find the information which we feedback – either verbally or in a short report format – invaluable in clarifying their thinking on a candidate or where they might like to probe further in final interview.

Media assessment

The ability to operate in a media savvy environment, where instant statements are frequently requested in highly emotive and high impact situations, is a requirement of many senior, customer facing roles. We offer bespoke media assessments which are structured to assess the level of sophistication of a candidate’s communication skills in a challenging media situation.

The candidate's ability to avoid defensive and dismissive responses, coupled with the need for believable and well structured messages to be communicated, is a key part of the assessment. We use highly realistic situations involving cameras and actors to ensure authenticity.
